So I got my right rear running light today that someone whacked last week and I am having a hard time installing it, I 'think' you can get to it by taking the small panel in front of the rear taillight off and reaching down but it is a tight squeeze and I can't really see what is going on down there to figure out how to get it out.

I am hoping someone has replaced one of these before as the dealer started giving me the running around about how they need to take the bumper off and a whole bunch of other shyt so it would be 2-3hrs @ $65 to get it installed which I really can;t afford nor really think should cost that much..

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I will do a step by step how-to on it once/if I get it figured out.

I just took a look at the manual and you do need to remove the bumper trim pieces.

No you cant get to them from underneath but they are right beside the rear signal.. Its too bad there is not a Chilton or Hay(n)es manual out yet.. hopefully soon even better maybe a toyota shop cd-rom like I had for my taurus really breaks things down nicely..

thanks for all your advice and if you have any luck looking at it let me know if you can figure out how it comes out.

I agree with you on the Haynes manual, but Chilton manuals are good for wiping dipsticks and little else. Their manual for a '69 VW had a section on how to diagnose radiator problems!
