exhaust tip question..
I tried the search, but came up empty handed. I am not looking to sink a lot of money into the xb, but I cant stand the stock exhaust tip, so I want to add just a tip the fill up that hole. I noticed that there seems to be an oval tip already covering the dinky round one. I am wondering if this oval tip can just be pulled off so I can add a bigger tip, since all the aftermarket tips should fit over the round one. But I wanted to know how hard it is to pull that other peice off (before I "f" it up).. thanks

sorry, mine was easy
but i go to the gym twice a week
so there might be some difference in my version of "easy"
the tip is attached with metal tabs that can be bent back
with that done the tip simply slides off

I too, did not like the look of the stock crome tip. I spent $8 on a big crome oval tip that fills the bumber cut-out much better.
Depending on the level of corrosion, this tip may be fused permanantly. How new is your BOX? If it is fused permanantly, or if you want an easy install, do not even bother removing the stock crome exhaust tip, just mount the new tip over the stock tip. Use wormgear clamp to secure it because vibrations will loosen the mounting screws provided.
See this thread and view photos. See if you like it crome and easy as I do.
