View Full Version : LUMINICS bulbs
Nebraska_tC 12-14-2005, 02:54 AM So, after i saw forum after forum about the luminics bulbs i decided i had to buy a set of the pure blue bulbs. Also, everyone said they were very simple to install. But, i am very bad with anything involving wiring or something of the sort. So could someone give me some help by giving me some steps or details about installing the bulbs? Thanks guys, and girls.
WeDriveScions 12-14-2005, 03:08 AM It's pretty much open the hood, twist the assembly and pull the harness out... unplug the stock bulb and plug in the luminics, (Without touching the bulb itself)... Then slide the bulb and harness back into the housing and twist to lock it in...
bubblemyster 12-14-2005, 03:08 AM the car manual is your friend. if you can't do this, you shouldn't be near a car.
WeDriveScions 12-14-2005, 03:13 AM ^ Not Neccesary... They only asked for help changing their bulbs...
If you have any more questions, PM me!
Nebraska_tC 12-14-2005, 09:00 PM thanks wedrivescions and bubblemyster its just like your mommy always said if you cant say anything nice then dont say it at all so i guess you shouldnt be allowed to talk.
smash 12-15-2005, 01:31 PM yeah you shouldn't have too much trouble.. it's easy to take the lights out, it was a bit of a task for me, having girly hands not as tough as a guy's hands i guess. the only trouble i ran into was twisting the harness out of place. you can pretty much just look down into the headlight and see which direction to turn the harness; twist it, then pull it out a bit to change the bulb.
2k5_tC 12-15-2005, 02:18 PM hey does anyone know the wattage of the luminics bulbs? i'm thinking of buying them but i don't want them to burn out my harness if they're going to be too high. anyways, where are you guys purchasing these bulbs and how much do they cost?
2k5_tC 12-15-2005, 02:25 PM haha nevermind...found out the wattage. but i do want to know where you guys are buying them and the prices..

maximus96 12-15-2005, 03:24 PM search for luminic bulbs here on SL, there's a few member with melted harness and they weren't over-wattage bulbs neither...is it worth it for you to take the chance?
Nebraska_tC 12-19-2005, 12:52 AM well i have the luminics pure blue bulbs in...but they dont seem to be very bright definately no brighter than the stock ones
WeDriveScions 12-19-2005, 01:09 AM ^ Someone posted a link showing that most A/B bulbs, including silverstars, have lower true output than stock...
Nebraska_tC 12-19-2005, 02:18 AM well someone said that they would get brighter too..but i guess im not sure
tC9o9 12-19-2005, 06:50 AM well, i was thinking of putting in silverstars in my tc, for the low beams... but i dont want to mess my car up, and i heard that tc'cant handle anything other than stock.. should i get a harness upgrade? also, since the foglights are the same size, should i get a upgraded harness as well?
Eastwick 12-19-2005, 01:50 PM Well i had Luminic bulb on three of my car and i havent have no problem with them.. The harness havent had any problem they work fine. I had them on my civic, xb, and tc and no problem.. But what u dont want to do is touch the bulb when installin or it will burt out..
tC9o9 12-19-2005, 06:04 PM i dont care if anything happens to the bulb, i dont want anything to happen to the car... so i will prolly put them in now, seeing as to how only two people have actually melted their harnesses compared to the hundreds who havent. thanks
