Default I just had installed on my TC

went down the street from me and had a Valet 561R Remote Starter installed. I have an automatic ... Living in Chicago area it's a must. I walked past a block down the street ..pushed the button .. saw my parking lights come on ... she started .. dont know how far until Iam out of range... At work I go by the window 10 min before I leave and start her up... I would highly recommend this..... the only thing is with our cars when you remote start it ... when engine is running our power locks dont open .. you will need to use key to open if the engine is running ... which really ain't no big deal ... it was $175 + $25 for the bypass unit ... $200 installed

do you have the scion factory alarm on your car? i think you should have it looked at, your door locks should work with the motor running. I installed a python remote start alarm on my tc and i have no problems with this.

Well on some alarms you can program it so you when you remote start it the door locks will lock automatically. If you dont want that you can just unprogram it if it locks automatically

HAha,

FIrst off you can connect locks from the remote start that will lock and unlock them!

If you dont want to do that, you can accually use a relay to interupt a igntion wire to the immobilzer, thus giving you oem locks again.

i installed remote starts for 3 years. And for them to not hook you up was pure lazyness!

It's not a "bad" thing... like we would rather you post in an existing thread before creating a new one about something, but it just didn't seem like you had a whole lot to add to something so old. Providing a bit of insight that you did won't really matter b/c those people probably aren't even here anymore.
