Does anyone know the part# for the xm module for the factory head unit? Where could I get one besides the dealer? If to expensive any ideas on another system?

:? I too have yet to find this one out... I can call the dealer in the morning and find out... then call my distributor. Chances are, it is a dealer only item just as it is for Infinity G35's. If not, why not go with the XM Commander custom installed display and a remote????

The SCION XM receiver that adds on to the head unit is $488 from the dealer...

the part number is: PT546-52040, it might have copied it wrong so it could be PTS46-52040 as the PTS is normally the prefix for SCION parts...

by the way, if someone can figure it out, Pioneer sells an XM receiver for $150 that uses an IP BUS cable....if you can figure out how to adapt the IP BUS cable to the scion head unit you could save big bucks...

I can infer from Toyota parts numbering system that the part number for the harness is most likely PTS46-52040-WH...

the difficulty would be in meshing the IP BUS cable to the Toyota XM Harness...someone with more experience with Volts for Dolts and XM installs could probably figure this out really easy...
This would be a heck of a way to do the job...SCION and Toyota are in business to make money, so when they have to buy someone elses product and sell it they try to put proprietary setups on it to make it very difficult to circumvent the product they are selling...

Let me know if anyone decides to do this...I really want to but cash flow is short right now...

I would definately be interested in knowing if someone can adapt a Pioneer IP Bus XM Unit to work with the stock radio...as I have one in my truck now and would love to move it over to the Box

Why not just replace the stock head unit with a xm ready or sirius ready head unit?

Default For those wondering about adding a Pioneer XM tuner...

to the factory Scion radios, it's a nightmare, and won't work. Scroll down to my post:
