Default Leak between CC s-pipe and AW header? (Help Plz)

Hey,

So I just got everything installed yesterday and I hear somthing leaking. I used the CC S-pipe gasket (that was provided with the CC s-pipe) for the connection between the AW header and S-pipe. I'm not sure if this is the correct gasket to be used. It didn't fit very well with that gasket. Anybody know what I'm suppose to buy?? Thanks I really appreciate it! I want to go buy it today!!! It's so freakin loud.

It's because the stock bolts don't thread in far enough. I've seen this before . You can either get some washers and add them to take up the space, or you can buy a set of bolts and nuts and use those to tighten it up. Either way will work.

I did the washer trick and also put some copper gasket sealant on the donut gasket to help get a better seal and it has been great.

Just buy pack of washers that will fit over the factory bolts, but make sure that the holes are not bigger than the factory bolt head. stack like 3 or 4 on each side between the bolt head and the factory springs. Then tighten the bolts into the header. That's it.

Just curious how important is it to install the brackets from the stock header?

It's not the springs. The stock bolts are not threaded all the way. That is the problem.

They hold the header in place on the bottom. you can run without them, but I would put at least one side on. I know that they don't really line up with the header. But you can get them to work.
