Default Oil leak question

Hey guys. New to forum so thanks for any help. Recently purchased an automatic 2008 xd. So far I'm loving it. My mechanic did note an engine oil leak. It is currently minor and seems to be coming from the area of a timing chain cover, it doesn't seem to effect oil levels between changes and it doesn't actually leak enough to drip on the drive. My question to the forum is....should I spend the $1000 quoted by Toyota to fix it? I hope the picture helps. This is looking up from under the car. The most yellow area in the top right seems to be the source. Opinions? Thank you!

You were quotes $1k to fix it? What was on the quote? It should have detailed the intended replacement item(s).

Whatever it is, I can't see it being a $1k repair.

I'll have to go back and find the sheet. I cleaned everything off and can feel the rubber gasket sticking out a bit. If I'm not mistaken they said timing chain cover gasket. But I'm just wondering if this should concern me at all considering the small amount of oil being lost.

Until it starts to drip on the ground I would hold off. Depending on the miles it might be worth replacing the guides, tensioner, and chain while in there.
