i put it in my xb. I can tell you first hand that it did absolutely nothing for me performance wise. However, i installed a cool purge valve.

Ya like amplifi3d said it will do nothing for your performance. They were going to sponsor me but I found out it was pretty much for looks so I passed. But the purge system is a cool toy to have.

can you say safety safety safety. plus I did not buy my car. my grandma willed the money and my dads the trusty, so if i did nos i would have to wait 3 more years, till there is no more trusty.
and if i did nos now and he found out about it he would take the car away.

Its wierd that he lets me do every thing but the big power mod's
so this way its safe, i get the purg and my dads happy.

I understand the trusty thing. But as far a safety, you can do a Nitrous system that is safe, you just can't get greedy. I designed many systems and had few problems.

can you put a wet or mist system in or would it have to be dry?
I would really like to stay away from dry because it is my understanding that its harder on the car then wet or mist. am i right on that.

i have the purge. if all you want to do is the purge it is cheaper to piece the kit together from summit. you can get a "spare tank", "purge valve kit"-comes with the selenoid, and the 14 foot hose for just over 300. you dont need the throttle position switch and you can find the 12volt wire and momentary switch at any hardware store.
depending on where you put your bottle and purge the 14 foot hose may not be long enough, mine reaches from the back up under the driverside to the black plastic under the wipers thats where my dual valve is.

Please if you don't know what you are talking about don't give advice!

xBguy1, I recommend a wet system on most all vehicles, they are safer. Most "Nitrous Meltdown" occur because of a lean condition, the wet system gives you a 5th injector so to say and will provide addional fuel to cool the cylinder. If you are using it on a manual trans. I would add a switch which disarms the system to the clutch pedal and also a low fuel pressure switch. I like the "Nitrous Works" systems best. I used to design some stuff for them but that has been about 10 years ago.

Ya Nitrous is fine as long as you don't go much over a 35hp shot. Alot of people have ran that for a long time without any problems.
