i was sooooooo disapointed to read that sticky at the top of this forum saying how the K&N CAI that i already have installed for the same price puts out 4.6 less hp.....it got me thinkin that i am going to go ahead and buy the injen.....think it would be worth it? anyone else with a K&N going to do this? and also would i get anything for a used K&N CAI sell on ebay? thanks

 

I don't think you will get much for it on ebay. As for getting the Injen intake I think that you would be better off keeping the K&N intake and getting somthing else to add power with the money. Maybe a header, you could get a Megan header for about the price of the new intake that would put ahead in power than if you bought the Injen for 4.7 hp more.

^ I second that thought, header would be better for the time being. Then save up for a supercharger...that way you'll have a reason to ditch the K&N.

 

but the thing is that i already ordered a header...just looking for the most hp out of the basic I/H/E because $230 isnt bad for 4.6 hp is it?

 

So get an S pipe, Creative Compacts Stainless one is 175. that should get 4.7 or more, what header did you order ?

 

but that was already in the plan too, along with a highflow cat after it. an alphawerks from CC. sry i didnt really explain enough on my first post

 

IMO the bottom line is: 4-6HP is barely a noticeable difference anyway...so as long as u don't mind shelling out 230 for basically only an aestetic and noise mod, then go for it! I did!
