i wanna know what did everyone end up doing for new years? did we all get drunk? did some of us just have a drink or two, or did some of us go to bed before the ball even dropped?


Cayla and I invited her brother and sister, and 3 of our friends over to "par-tay". It was pretty fun. we played a lot of nfs hot pursuit 2 (only drunk driving i did last night ) we played twister and shortly after my friends left (yes, one of them were sober enough to drive home competently) then after they left i went to use the bathroom and ended up sleeping on the floor for about an hour...I was afraid if was to move i would throw up. Funny part was that my bro in law's g/f had to pee so they kept trying to get me out of there. lol at one point i told them that she could pee in the sink! aaaaaand then i got up finally crashed out on the living room chair and came to bed at about 5.

sounds like a great night, damn i miss nights like that but after u have a child new years aint the same anymore....its still kool though bein with the lil 1

 

we had to call the police on a nieghbor behind us for firing off 12 or more rounds from a hand gun .... Very stupid if you ask me..

It sounded like someone banging on our sliding glass door when it went off, made my daughter freak out also..

 

Just our Nieghbors yelling at his friends that were speeding up and down our street at 3am in the morning.
We got our cable back in time to watch some of the new years eve festivities..
It was great to see Dick Clark back up there doing his thing but, little sad to listen to how bad that stroke effected him.

Hell I'm OLD & after getting up at 4.00am to go to work well lets say I didn't make
till the ball dropped. Is there triptaphan(spell check please) in pork roast? Dinner
& a couple o beers & I was toast. Rat's! Even the wifey stayed up later than I did.
I did manage to make it over to see Mark & Bryan earlier in the day to wish them a
happy new year & talked to Daniel(sprslug_182) & wished him one as well -- nice
young man.
I hope everyone had a safe new years celebration and didn't have to have Yelowsubs
friends escort them somewhere

 

i know what you mean, i have 2 kids and we very rarely do any kind of drinking or partying or anything like that. (after last night i dont know that i'll want to do anymore lol)

sometimes you gotta give yourself some time to unwind and have some fun though.

bad thing about last night is that my 6 year old put his tooth under his pillow for the tooth fairy and the tooth fairy forgot

we told him it was because we were all being to loud and that she'll come tonight definitely...I felt really really bad.

 

I didn't do a damn thing. I ended up staying home by myself Yea I know its pathetic but it wasn't worth it to me to go out knowing how many cops would be out. I just drank a few beers watching TV.

played some left, right, center with my girlfriends family and friends. Not as interesting as Nick's story, but oh well. I made some money. Then drove home and almost got rear ended twice.

 

I wish I stayed home, I'd rather been reading. I was the designated driver but I did eat some good sushi.

 

my night hurm went to a freinds house who has a full bar thanks to him owning a liquor store =D so 50 plus bottles a few more of don p to toast in the new years, and alot of freinds and family. so it was a great drunken night... past out at about 3 and here i am now. hope everyone has a great up coming year!

 

That tooth fairy has problems sometimes. She's missed my kids at least twice, once she couldn't find them because they were at Grandma'a hous in Tucson, and once it had something to do with one of the big hurricanes last summer.

We took the kids to see the Narnia movie, then out for Italian food. They finally got to bed about 11:15 and I was out by about 12:30.

 

I worked.

And ended up having to save a poor little one from taking a trip up north....thanks to RSV

 

I worked and made it through another New Years Eve uninjured...I hate working New Years....Tons of gunfire from drunk idiots makes for an unsafe work environment, especially when we were parked on the street in an unmarked car in a bad part of town waiting to catch them in the process of firing guns...You would figure after 16 years on patrol, I would get to have it off...But, as n2htwlz said, it's the idiots that shoot their guns into the air that keep me working on New Years Eve and away from my family...I know my wife and kids sure hate the fact that I have to work that particular evening...I hope everyone had a good time and that everyone made it back from their destination.

I went to one of my wifes uncles house, I didn't want to drink since I knew I was going to have to drive home(I don't want to mess with any DUI charges, no joke out here .), the worst part of the night was when I went to my car to leave and I see egg(looked like 2 egss) splatter all over my driver side door and side skirt , god I wanted to beat the crap out of anybody at that moment, what a bunch of hater(s) . So I decided to go to one of those do it yourself car washes at 2am and try to wash that crap off my car, luckly it all came off, thank god , glad I wax my car reguraly, what a way to ring in the new year huh?

 

unfortunately, i had to wark semi-early today, so i didnt want to be hungover or still druck, so i didnt.. my parents had some frineds over(staying with them untill school starts up again), who in turn brought about 6 kids, between 9 and 12 years old over.. well i introduced a few of my parents friends to JagerBombs :D . the gf got pretty drunk.. she was a riot! she could hardly stand after 2 bombs

i finally got around to lowering the box with Tein s-tech's. it looks so much better now!!! took me and a friend about 2 hours or so to do it, with a lunch break and a few smoke breaks for him (i dont smoke )


i am glad to hear that no one (so far *knock on wood*) has been hurt or injured in the festivities!

 

well it sounds like some of us had fun. sorry to to hear that people had the inconsiderate neighbors shooting off their guns and racing. glad nobody got hurt though.

and i'd like to thank alexis for saving that kids life...i'm sure the whole family appreciates what you did.

and i'd like to thank yelosub for helping to keep the streets as safe as possible. I'm sure your kids will grow up to understand that there was a very good reason that you missed a few holidays.

DONT EVER TRY TO DO MILL ON NEW YEARS.

 

A bunch of my friends(14 of us) went out to my friend's ranch. We all spent the night there. It was a good idea because it kept us all away from drunk drivers and whatnot. We had a campfire, watched a few movies, played pool, played some trivial pursuit(I'm the CHAMPION), watched the ball drop, played a lot of x-box, and had some good reflecting on the past year and what the future will hold for all of us. We had a lot of fun...smoked some cigars to bring in the new year and also had a lil champagne(not too much, it was monitored parentally, LOL--bummer--). I slept from about 4:30-6:30 am and then we all woke up and went out on the ranch chasing sheep and climbing cliffs.

I slept from 1pm-9pm yesterday when I got home.

Oh, and I think we only had like 2 or 3 DWI incidents here in Roswell. I know Albuquerque had 11.
