Default Problems with scion Xa's security and aftermarket auto start

well just wondering if there would be a problem if i get an aftermarket auto start with my scion security system.... at least that's what the dealer guy told my girl ... just had to make sure if its bs or not

.... i was asking for a free auto start maybe the guy just told me that bs so he don't have to give me a free auto start

I dont think there should be a problem. Although keep in mind that you will have to buy a Transponder bypass module for your remote start to work.

yea your key has a Transponder Chip in it that sends a signal to say that it is a real scion key. When you put in a remote start you have to get this module otherwise your car will not start... I believe the part is about $50 or so. Your local Auto Sound and Security store should know what this is if you have any questions to ask them

<installer: i just put a alarm/remote start on my scion and it did not need the transponder. also you should not have any problems with the factory security b/c there is a wire to bypass the factory security when you remote start the car.

xAs and xBs dont need a transponder module.
TC does

As far as putting it in with and alarm system it is no problem. Done a few of them myself.
