[col:418e7196ae]David's Hot Lava xB

David wrote us a little about his car:

When I was looking to get a new car, my friend had an xB shipped to New York from California. Once I saw this unique looking car I knew I had to have one. It stands out from the crowd.

I did some research and found out these cars were not new but retagged JDM models. The bB as its known overseas has been out for many years. Scions were not being sold on the east coast yet and I need to put an order in and wait for it.

I found ScionLife and discovered the xB release series 1.0 was coming out. I loved the color. It was not dark like Black Cherry or Blue Onyx nor was it too light like Thunder Cloud. I made my choice, Hot Lava Scion xB it was.

At first I was only interested in driving this very unique looking box. Then I found all the modifications that I could do. I decided to take the plunge and start modding my xB. I decided to build up my car evenly; I would do one suspension mod then I would balance it out with a body mod. One stereo mod followed by an engine or power mod.

My first few modifications were simple ones Weathertechs and tinted windows. Those simple little modifications caused many more. The last thing I did to my xB was install a limited slip differential.

I am part of Team ScioNRG. The Northeast's largest Scion club.
