Pistons!
Heres my problem. Got the tax return coming in soon and Ive not yet decided what to do with it. My main plan was to save it up towards the ZPI Stage 0 kit and just keep saving for a few months until I can finally push the BUY button. At my current job I dont make a whole lot but its enough to pay for the car and mod lightly. Saving at this moment would take a long time to equal enough money to get that turbo. Im thinking like May or so... but I want power and NOW!!! Im sure most of you will just say "Get a new/another job!" but I just got this one and I kind of like how easy things are right now so no thats not gonna happen. Ive been checking out the ZPI all motor and turbo pistons that are available and that seems like a possible alternative to my quick power needs. Thing is I dont know whats involved in the installation and if there are any prerequisites to successfully using them. What all is involved with getting these pistons and installing them? Will the motor have to be pulled and if so whats that run at a good shop? I dont know if I can use the turbo pistons without a turbo so Ive mostly been concentrating on the all motors. Ive considered getting the Draxas exhaust but like I said I want power and I know thats not gonna get me down into the 14's like I want on my auto so its either something big or something really big down the road. What do you guys think?
pistons with install would cost a pretty penny about half if not 3/4s of wat a turbo would. I would save the money for a turbo if thats is what you really want, if you want to stay n/a id port/polish thatll net you about 20hp for about $600 then go with the Greddy exhuast with custom cat 2.5" and s-pipe....judging from the list of you current mods + waht i just listed you should be hitting low 15s possibly and i stress possibly high 14s. But new pistions is something you deffintaly want to take to a shop and have done not your run of the mill do it yourself job.

The cost involved with this is more than you'd want to spend for what you get out of it... you'd be much much happier with a turbo kit... as the install will be 1000 + for pistons and you'd also have to run a piggyback to tune the engine to get the most out of it, which would cost a bit more to install and tune as well...
On the level of install a turbo is 5 and new pistons are 9...
For the budget minded, I'd keep on your current track, you'll be much happier for you buck.
