I got the Audiobahn 2150 high current amp which is one ohm stable.. and gonna push 6 10" MTX Thunder8000 subs..

Can someone help me out with the best wiring diagram for this setup..

what impedance are the subs?

the info on the subs are....

um...i'm not an audio guru but i will throw out an idea.

4 ohm subwoofer x6
1 ohm stable amp x1

ok. i think you can use a series-parallel configuration and for the speakers and come up with a 1.5 ohm load to the amp, which will be loud and shouldn't be a problem for the amp you are using at all. i'm just guessing though. i'm sure the real audio guys can answer this better.

If you parallel all 6 subs you will get .66 too low for your Audiobahn amp.

If you do a standard series/parallel, you will only obtain a 2.66. which will not optimize the amp

If you do a combination of 2 subs series + 2 subs series + 1 parallel + 1 parallel you will come out to 1.5. which still wont optimize the amp.

so its your choice. I would ditch 2 of the subs and just do 4. You will get more power out of 4 than the 6 considering the ohm load.

hold on. you don't have to push the amp to it's maximum limits to get the best sound. even if you were to run all the speakers at 2 ohm or even 4 ohm, you could get it to sound really loud. i think 1.5 ohm would be fine. the speakers he choose aren't the best for that amp. a better choice would have been 6 JL 6 owhm speakers to run into a 1 ohm configuration in series-parellel. anyway, i'm not here to judge. i'm just saying that it will sound good even at 2 ohms. lots of amps are 1 or even 1/2 ohm stable, but that doesn't mean you have to run them that way. just my non professional opinion, of course.

Eric you're right, you dont have to push the amp to the max to make it sound good. It really depends on the way the amp is designed. If the amp is only designed to play its rated power at 1 ohm.. Who knows what it plays at 1.5. It could be 1/2 the rated power or 3/4's. Only the engineers at Audiobahn will know the real deal. 1.5 would be safe. it will keep your amp cooler and run more efficiently.

Also important is your voltage. What is that amp rated at? because anything over 1000watts you really should concider getting an additional battery for the best performance. If that amp you are talking about is a Class D, than be sure to keep the voltage up on that or you will blow the amp due to lack of voltage.

I am running all these subs on one amp for the meanwhile. Im gonna get another amp in the future.

My previous system in my Scion was 4 10" JL.. and wanted more beat (Used from previous car)! Sold that system about a week before the meet. Had 2 10's at the meet.
