Default Wanna Hide my RADAR DETECTOR wire.

Is there a way to easily run my RADAR DETECTOR wire (presently mounted on velcro right to the left of the passengers side airbag). I need to get it to connect down to the ashtry lighter. The wire is now running down the front of the AC console...real lame and ugly. The wire is real long. I don't wanna drill into the top of the dash to do this. Is there a way maybe to send it down by the window where the defroster vent is? if anybody has done something to hide it please let me know. Thanks.

those radar detectors are old fashion and out man.. there are much better ones out that are hidable.. and have front and rear jammers if jammers are elegal they also have deflectors, and blockers.. there pretty nice.. you can actually fit the box in one of the small cubbies on the xb or xa for that matter allt he wires are ran jsut like if u were to wire up a light... and the sensors go on the front and back liscense plate.

but if you must use what you have why not mod the detector all the way to the drives side far left down next to the dash and run the wire down along side the dash under and over to the cigarette lighter sense u said the cord was pretty long this should be easy enuf.

This radar detector has saved me countless times. I wanna keep it, and it really needs to stay in it's present location to achieve the maximum detection area. By the drivers side is no good. The A Pillar would cause an obstruction.

You could go in the speaker hole and pull it down and through.

My radar detector sits right above the instrument panel part of the dash. I ran the cord up inside the dash and it comes out right in the corner near the idiot lights. Then it's just a short exposure to the unit itself.

That's sounds like the best idea so far. My RD is in the same place as well.
