This happened to my old car. You see there is two different fuses: One controls all the lower settings, and one for high. Most likely your fuse for the first three settings is blown, so yeah let the warranty take care of it.

If it has not changed from the 2004 model, the schemetic shows a fuse inside the "blower resister" (Scions Name). This resistor is not used for high speed. High speed only goes through the 40A heater fuse, but any speed other than high has to go through a fuse built into the "Blower Resister" It looks like you have blown the blower resister. It would be a warrantee item, but if you are out of warrantee, PM me and I can tell you where this Blower Resister is located. This Electrical Wiring Diagram book for the xB is great. It just arrived today and it tells it all. I just have to spend some time learning their "lingo".

If its not the resistor it could be the blower motor

On the schematic, it looks like it would be easy to get to (the Blower Resister that is), but you would have to purchase it from Scion. It looks like it is behind the lower right most portion of the glovebox.

The resister should be mounted in the heater case behind the glovebox with a few wires going to it. It's a common problem but not on such a new vehicle. If that is the problem I'd have it checked under warranty just so it doesn't happen again.

Is this info on the website somewhere? The "manual" is greatly lacking in this area of wiring diagrams....

I'm looking for the schematics and wiring colors for the rear wiper motor and the rear deck lid stop/license plate lighting.

The wiring schematic is in the factory service manual on the web site but you need to be a premium member to access it.

Hmmm...I'M a Premium Member and have searched through that manual and it appears that there is a bunch missing from section 68. It stops with the first four pages showing the location of hte main junction and fuse blocks.

Do I need to alert the webmaster of the missing links?

Yeah, me too...

Some manufacturers now seem to think the electircal manual needs to be separate..

Does anyone know if there is an electric manual available for the xB. It would be a great addition to the shop manual for sure. I bet Tomas or Darren would know one way or the other.
