ok, this is my first post after reading posts for several months. i'll get right down to brass tacks. i drive a bcp '06 tc. i've checked into ways i can get a little better performance outta my new ride. i did exhaust, and now i've been researching intakes.
overall, it seems popular opinion that the injen cai is the overall best in terms of quality and performance. that's cool. i've also checked out the weapon r short ram. i was intrigued by their charts and graphs about their patented 'vortex' of air it claims to create. yes.
now is where i show my ignorance or creativity. i guess ya'll will let me know. ...

why not convert the weapon r into a full cai? i know that pipe/tube diameter would need resolution and could need a custom made piece. but what if you could remove the weapon r filter, put on an extension, and feed cold air into that 'vortex of air'?
are these types of things done?
