View Full Version : Thinking of buying LAMBO DOORS should I?????????? pballplayer18 01-31-2006, 09:22 PM I am thinking of buying some lambo doors, if you have them let me know if you like them, and is there any draw backs, or disadvantages..let me know...thanks SO-CAL_TC 01-31-2006, 09:51 PM dont have any but i say get them I want them sooooo bad for my tc but i need dinero. killerxromances 01-31-2006, 09:54 PM I am thinking of buying some lambo doors, if you have them let me know if you like them, and is there any draw backs, or disadvantages..let me know...thanks If you want them, get them. But if you are asking everyone here if they would, its going to be 80% saying no and 20% saying yes. Majority of people on here hate the look of it on a xb, or most compacts for that matter. My opinion? chadfo 01-31-2006, 10:13 PM My opinion would be no for 3 reasons: 1. They are expensive. 2. I've never seen one up close but it looks difficult to get in and out of because of where the door is. 3. A 4 door car look funny with 2 doors going up and 2 going out. If you suicided the rear doors, it might cool. TXboxdriver 01-31-2006, 10:27 PM yeah get them join the crowd!! why be original, or need your door pockets nevermind that the doors are structural members in a unibody car chadfo has a point though lambo all 4 doors.....it is the only way (reverse the rears!!) BigWill184 01-31-2006, 10:59 PM It depends on what you like, If you like the way the look then get them, if you dont then dont get them it all depends on what you like. It doesnt matter what anybody else thinks about your car as long as you like it, well anyways i like the way the look on my car, I do not have a problem getting out but i do believe a heavier person would have problems with this, unless you get the 90 degree kit. Some setbacks are getting in and out of the car while raining thats pretty much the only setback i have found, Here is a pic. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v674/speakerbox1/bigwilldoor.jpg psyawnexbea 02-01-2006, 05:58 AM A buddy of mine has lambo doors on his eclipse. They look tight, but that's about it. They don't open super-smooth and they're heavy. If his lambo doors are indicative of lambo doors generally, I'd say don't do it. ZONkBoX 02-01-2006, 02:05 PM Forget lambo...do GULL-WING. grizzly_choppers 02-01-2006, 02:13 PM If you do them on an xB, do a 90 degree kit. That way all the lines are at right angles with the doors open and it's more aestheticly pleasing. There are some functionality drawbacks, especially in cold weather climates when the counterbalance pistons don't lift like they should and readjustment is periodically necessary. Do it if you like them, but don't expect them to function as smooth as a factory set-up no matter how much you spend on the kit. -Alex ctruss 02-01-2006, 04:13 PM NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ctruss 02-01-2006, 04:14 PM http://vaderfortune.ytmnd.com/ pballplayer18 02-01-2006, 07:34 PM thanks for the posts guys, i am still highly considering..thanks ctruss...that is freaking hilarious ctruss 02-01-2006, 07:59 PM I do what I can.... lol DarkBoxJr 02-01-2006, 07:59 PM No aalbertson3 02-01-2006, 09:19 PM NO  scion_xb_guy_05 02-01-2006, 09:29 PM hahaha that video was sweet!!! but yeah i am doing them!!! i am not doing the full 90 because they seem to flap in the wind too much... now even though you can get into the car easier... i like the fact that the true lambo doors are sturdier!!!! jtautostyle.com!!!!! sweet BOLT ON KIT!!!! jmseals 02-01-2006, 11:07 PM lambo's are a pain in the a** it's never going to line up like fac. and like one of the above posts, heavy=walk'n, lol, here's a link to some pic.s of mine before and after lambo'n it http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2192967 get ready for everyone to want ta see when ever you stop & get out, lol scion_xb_guy_05 02-01-2006, 11:29 PM how do you like them bro???? i was actually looking at your page the other day!!!! haha hotbox05 02-02-2006, 12:49 AM lambo doors are the worst mod any four door car owner can do. killerxromances 02-02-2006, 01:20 AM lambo doors are the worst mod any four door car owner can do. Agree'd. Four doors look horrid with them. Sure, some can pull them off but its rare. Xb, in my opinion if you want to do a door mod do the rear suicide mod. Now that looks good. Still waiting for someone to chop the top 2-3''. That would look so incredible. bassist1217 02-02-2006, 01:28 AM if you did both the front and rear doors, i think it would be cool. killerxromances 02-02-2006, 01:31 AM if you did both the front and rear doors, i think it would be cool. imo, no.
