I just picked up my Hot Lava xB today! Anyway, with the terrible roads here in East Texas, I decided to stick with 15s. In my browsing around on ebay I found the following...

When I first saw them and put my snipe in on them, they were at $60 for the set. I could hardly pass them up at that price. As usual though, the price climbed at the end and the original buyer backed out, clearing the way for me to snatch them up at $55 each after shipping. Seems like a reasonable deal. What do you think? Anybody heard of Sacchi wheels? The seem to go for better than $100 each typically Also, will the 15x7x+40s cause me any problems with the stock tires or in the wheel wells? Will I need any spacers or anything?

and regarding your particular fitment this is what we find--

15x7.0? . . . . . . 38 . . . . . . . . . . . . . 185/60-15 (Stock Tire)

So someone before has used a 15x7 et 38 with the stock tires and it worked just fine.

I'm assuming that +40 would work fine as well...I don't think you will need to run spacers of any sorts--but if you do find it ending up rubbing, a simple 3mm to 5mm spacer would work with no additional hardware needed to make the wheels fit.

Also there would be no problem using your stock tires.

Now that you have a wider rim, why not go for a wider tire? The wider tire would result in an improvement in both handling and comfort. Something like a 205/55/15 actually gives you a little bit more sidewall than the stock tires. A 215/50/15 would fit, but don't know about any potential rubbing problem. Also such a wide tire would probably be rather expensive (except for the cheap Kumho 711).

That fitment might actually be a little bit close ... The sidewalls will "fill out" on the wider rim so you'll end up with a combination about 1/2" wider than stock. That puts the widest point fairly close to this one bolt head that sticks out of the rear suspension.

I run the stock tires on 15x7, +38 (???) rims myself. Everything fits OK but I'm tempted to put 5mm spacers in back.
