Default xB Drivers door lock sticking, Anyone else?

Just started happening and I'm loathe to go to the dealer. anyone have a similar issue or associated fix?

The car still unlocks with the key its just when using the remote that it sticks in the locked position.

yep, make that two.

started to notice it when the outside temp dropped below freezing, becasue I couldn;t get in may car. My lock would just not come up all the way. checked it out in a relatively warm day, and it just NEVER travels to the full upright position. I noticed that particular lock has quite a bit of rubbing going on - the shaft is scraped. none of the other door locks are doing this, so it's clearly catching on something.

This was at about 3000 miles.

no fix yet, but repeated presses of the unlock button will bring it to a point where I can open the door, when it's super cold, and won't go on the first try. I know...Iknow...

I'd check and see where it is dragging and tweak it so it moves freely. No problems with mine yet. Knock on wood.

My aunt had this problem too after the temp dropped (cleveland). She thought the door was freezing shut. It was actually the lock not popping up all the way. I don't know whether she got it fixed or not.

Yep, mine has almost 8K and all of my locks except the driver door does that. Temperature doesnt seem to affect mine. I just hit the Lock button a few times and unlock again it works. If not that the inside button always does the trick. I have read a post on this before, It seems to be very common on theese cars.

Same thing was happening to my drivers door lock when it was real cold outside.
When my installer was working on my doors he filed down the opening in the doorpanel, there are some bures or small pieces of plastic the lock rubs on. Looked like a simple fix and I havnt had any trouble since.
Hope that helps

I've not had this issue with mine. However, if I had/do I would remove the the door panel and shoot the linkage and the pull **** that pops out the top of the panel with a little silicone spray, I bet that would fix it. I wouldn't use WD-40 or any other oil-based lubricant. They tend to rot rubber and plastic.

Years ago, we had a similar problem with my wife's '92 MX-3. The above mentioned fix cured it. Although it was under warranty at the time, it was just quicker and easier for me to take care of the issue myself....just the way I am.

the ****(altough scuffed on the sides) doesnt seem to be binding on anything. it seems more like a linkage issue elsewhere. Does anyone door of a panel removal walkthru somewhere on here?

You said exactly "I'd check and see where it is dragging and tweak it so it moves freely. No problems with mine yet. Knock on wood."
I told him exactly what was dragging on mine and what was done to fix it.

Didn't say you "stink". It just seemed like what I said was being ignored or didn't get read. That was what the doh was for. No offence meant Bro.

door panel removal-

1) remove screw in the door grab.
2) remove screw in door handle/latch assy (the thing you open the door with)
3) remove pop screw in the front edge of the door
4) start poppin stuff off.

there is a 48k pdf here:

Of the people that are having problems with the locks sticking, how many have had there doors off before. My drivers doorlock started sticking after i took the door to put my components in. Mine only sticks every blue moon or so and is not because of cold, cause its FL. But i do agree they are just binding on somthing.

They had your car for a couple of days to check the locks. Were they that busy or just plain slow. Cause it should not have taken a couple of days to check that. But if you didnt mind guess it really doesn't matter.
