Hi I just brought and installed the '06 IPOD stereo today, but it wont read most of my songs. Like when I burn 2 songs on the first time on the cd it plays only those 2 songs. When I add more songs, the player wont recognize the extra songs. Is there a setting or something on the stereo that it will recognize everything? Cause my old scion stereo allow me to add as many songs after the first burn and it plays fine. Thanks.

are you sure you are using the exact same method to burn the cds?
why not just use the iPod to play the songs?

most car stereos don't even support multisession cds.

i think i read that the scion ones could but they had to be in these unecissarily complicated folder directories. but i guess if you did the CD thing it would make sense.
i just use the iPod. iPod = neatness

you bought an ipod capable head unit, but don't use the ipod option, that doesn't make much sense, unless you're planning on getting an iPod. am I missing something?

maybe your using iTunes and burning your files as .mp4's - deck can only read mp3.

Yeah, check your iTunes - is uses AAC (.mp4) by default.
You can easily convert them (advanced menu - AFTER you change the burning option to mp3)
But for the love of GOD, get an iPod - the shuffle is only $69 now if you're broke :)
