Default The Best Short Shifter for Scion tC?

I am going to buy the short shifter for Scion tC but don't know which one is the best?
What about the one from TRD or some other one on eBay?

Can anyone input any opinions? Thanks!

I have the Creative Compacts short shifter, cheap and good. My second choice was B&M.

I got the B&M, cause I could get it locally and it was cheap and the perfect throw/height...

Either that or the CC and you'll be good to go!

naw, I love the Parrin xA/xB/tC shifter. It kept stock hight and looks, just shortened the throw like a biggilian times over... it did however take a little shaving of the Housing in order to install it properly.

Throw is good and solid over 10,000 miles and no problems...love the way it looks and feels..also was able to keep the stock boot and ****...no way of telling its actualy there...people get in my car and there' like "woah" ... short throw man..

CC here too. But it depends on what you're looking for.

Check out the table here:

Figure out if you want the height of the shifter lowered or not (i didn't at first, but love it lower now). And then what you're willing to spend.

To be honest, I don't want to spend too much. Less than $100 will be ideal for a short shifter. Just want to know what difference does it really make with a short shifter. Is the different significant or just about the same as stock?

BUMP! Yea i was wondering the same thing. I wanna get a SS because the stock one has too much play in it for me. Then again, maybe becuase its my first stick. I dont wanna spend too much, but most of the time, you get what you pay for...

Anyone have experiences with multiple shifters?

There is a SIGNIFICANT difference from stock to any of the short shifters above. The difference between the above are that some of them lower the height of the handle more than others. This, along with geometry can also get you a shorter throw.

As for the plastic housing. The TRD (and I think Randode) come in the housing already. This actually just makes for an easier install. There are four bolts holding this housing down and instead of fighting to get the actual rod out of the housing, you take the housing out, put the new one in and your'e done.

That being said, replacing just the rod isn't that terrible if you take your time and read the directions...
