Default How do you use the Absorber towel?

OK I used my absorber towel last month to dry my car and the result came out fine. A couple of streaks here and there but nothing too big. The second time, which was earlier today, I dried using the Absorber but it was as if the Absorber was doing little drying and more spreading of the water. Has anybody experienced this? How do you guys dry with the absorber towel? I hate the feeling of it on my car as I'm drying. Feels and sounds like nails on a chalkboard.

Throw it away and buy a silicone water-blade.

Buuuuut if you insist on using it, keep it damp between uses by storing in a ziplock bag or similiar. If its bone dry it can scratch the paint. Wring alot while using, if your wrists arent in pain youre not wringing enough.

the water blade is great, i use both.........especially on the glass roof, the absorber actually needs to be wet/ damp.......i love them they work great. best way to use it is to use it like a squeege.....i fold it in half and drag it over the body in one direction, but i first use the water blade to remove most of the standing water and the absorber to finnish the job.......never let it dry, when yoru done ring it out, and roll itup and put it back in the tube you got with it. when Im done i take some spray detailer and a microfiber cloth and that removes the streaks and small amounts of excess water........

Are there any alternatives to the water blade? I don't want it giving me micro-fine scratches on my car.

I only use the waterblade on the glass, sorry I should have been more explicit. What size is the absorber? are you wringing it out frequently? that is usually where the issue is, they can only hold so much water, so i wring it out after every pass.......try that

also wash your absorber in the washing machine often....and if it falls on the ground you need to wash it.
