Looks like a decent kit. However, I just had cruise installed for 230.00 complete. So I think 250.00 just for the kit is a little pricey. But that's just my opinion.

Default Global Cruise Control: Excellent for the xB

I bought the system using the info from the webpage. Talked with the vendor , in California, and he faxed pictures of various control switches. I got right hand side and put it forward of the windshield wiper control stick, instead of left hand side of steering column as pictured in the website.

The cruise is digital and holds speed really well...the guys at Car Toys, Annapolis MD, did the install and were reasonable.

All told the kit cost $239.00, would have been $27 cheaper without Clutch Petal Switch (for stick shift cars), and around $250 for install.

The cruise did fine in the foothills to Durham, NC and back....engine has enough guts to run AC and stay on speed at 75 MPH.

CRUISE, don't leave home without it.

You can get a "hit" by entering Global Cruise Control on Search.

Could you give us the part numbers of the cruise control and control stalk that you used? Also, the name of the vendor?

Thanks, George

Vendors name at bottom of wage page. The Switch Control likes identical to those pictured but is a mirror image for the right side of the steering column.

CRUISE, don't leave home without it.

sorry to be repetitive...just like the phrase.

Default CRUISE; don't leave home without it. (GLOBAL CRUISE CONTROL)

I found the dude at the place that puts together the kit...really knowledgable and will field all your questions.

As the scionmag.com page on on GLOBAL CRUISE CONTROL says, "If anyone is interested, contact Morris @ West Valley Auto Electronics @ 818-758-9500 for information. "

Morris is cool.

Just out of curiosity, why would you pay $230 for a cruise control you have to install yourself and have little to no warranty on, when you can pick one up at the dealership installed for $275 with a full warranty?

Because the dealership I purchased my xB from said they did not have a cruise control unit for it and would not install a aftermarket unit. The one that is being refered to in this forum does come with a 3 year warranty.

I just purchased my xB last sunday, and the 1st question I asked was about the cruise control. Do you have any part numbers and pic's.

Thanks
