hey guys well i was driving today on the freeway and i noticed that when my rpms went from 4000 to 3000 i heard a wierd noise. it happens exactly when they hit 3000 rpms in fifth gear only.. it kinda sounds like what breaks sound when your pads are wearing out. a light sigh of some sort. well not sure what it means but just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and if it could be serious. Also a hear a swirling wistling sound when i give it gas. i dont hear it if i rev in neutral only while in 1-3 gear. I bought my tc used from the dealer and this is my first stick shift so im not sure if any of this is normal. also its all stock. thanks

 

The tC throttle body makes a whistling sound at those RPMs. If you add an intake it will be much louder. Search "intake whistle" nd you will see it has been covered to death many times.
