Default real quick warranty question...

ok, i found a used xB (05) that i am considering if i can talk my parents into it. the owner bought the platinum warranty when he bought it, and my dad's trying to tell me that if i buy it, the warranty's no good. he seems to think the warranty is for the driver. i argued that the warranty is on the car. help clear this up.

The warranty is good and transferable. With a little paperwork to get the names switched, the warranty will continue until it is scheduled to expire. Make sure proper notification is made to get the warranty transfered. (A dealer can assist you in this) Hope the BOX works out for you, and enjoy it.

I've got the platinum 7 year 75K w/0 deductible and they are absolutely transferable. Time to teach Dad a thing or two! I bought the warranty knowing my 15 year old son would be driving the box soon!

The price on these extended warrantys is very good from my previous experience and always helps on the resale. Go for it and have a blast.

I also purchased a used xb, still under warranty. I e-mailed Toyota, an they confirmed that the warranty transfers with new ownership.
