Default Xm Radio, Nav install questions

I ordered a avic d1 and xm traffic for my car. I have been trying to find how to install both and how to run the wires. I ahve install several headunits in the past so that i am comfortable with. My concern is that i was to mount the xm unit in the dash (?) or out of site, and then run both cables to the rear of the roof. In teh end i want everything to be hidden and look as factory as possible.

My XM receiver is to the right, above, and behind the HU. My antenna is on the roof just in front of the hatch. No visible wires.

No pics, but the wire runs under the dash, up the pass. side A-pillar, under headliner, and out the back.

On a side note, good luck on the MSME. I stopped with a BSME. I don't think I could take any more school.
