what are some decent companies that make remote start (tc compatible)? w or w/o alarm doesn't really matter.

Well... Brands that come to mind... Clifford, Viper, and I think maybe there are a couple other big ones... but those are usually with security systems I think. Though I would imagine you can get without if you wanted to.

I just have the Scion Security in mine, so I can't offer too much detail here, but I'm sure someone can recommend a good system for you...

Any remote start modules from directed electronics like clifford viper or valet. There is also compustar and clarion security which are just as good. You could get the matrix 1.5 or 2.5 from clifford for about $100 if you have a frys electronics or cartoys in your area.

i would go with a viper or clifford. you are going to need a immobilizer bypass for your car as well. directed electronics(the people who make viper and clifford) also make this part. the model number is the 556uw. basically youre going to lose one of your spare keys because your key has a chip in it that has to be present in the vehicle for your car to start. whoever installs it will mount the key in the 556uw and it recieves a signal from the alarm brain and then sends a signal through a wire that is wrapped around your key cylinder, making the car think that there is a key in the cylinder. but viper or clifford are both very user friendly, and they have 2 way paging

I have the Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5. I fricken love it. It was $650, but well worth it. This spring, I'm having them hook it to my windows and sunroof so I can open up the car before I get to it on those hot days and clear out all the stale air. Definately go with directed electronics though. Either clifford, viper, or python. They're all the same thing, but the transponder just looks a little different. Here's the Clifford:

Sorry for the crappy cell phone picture.
