Have they released info on the xA RS yet? I've heard some things, but not see anything official.

We found that they are makign 1500 RS2 Red Limtied xA's.

 

I did a search and came back with the following (was posted by a dealer a short while ago)

• 1500 Made
• Absolute Red
• Red floor/cup holder LEDs
• Spoiler (paint matched)
• Kenstyle Grill
• Sunroof

I'm sure I'm forgetting something. It didn't mention a strutbar (that I remember) but I'd be surprised if it didn't come with one.

I'd guess that it will be about the same set of features as the RS1, but it's going to have a Kenstyle grill, instead of billit, and a sunroof.

If they keep the price for the RS2 package the same as the RS1 (around $900), you will end up with the most kick ___ car ever for under $14k. :D

And I'm still ticked that the RS1 didn't get a moon/sunroof. Lucky bastards. ;)

It takes that much to FILL UP MY 3KGT.. @ 2.06/gallon, and to be honest, the milage between it and the HOTBOXX is not THAT different.. I've already ranted on another post about how my gas milage went to sh@t after I slapped on my new wheels..
The other half of the equation is that I drive like a maniac, no matter WHAT car I'm in I spend alot of time on the freeway over 3grand around 80mph! not sure if the BOXX was meant for that.. :?
The XA SHOULD get better mileage, though...

Ok I can believe all of the parts for the RS xA but the sunroof I seriously doubt will be in the car due to the fact that while talking to a friend of mine ( District service and parts manager ) we were talking about the RS xA and we were also talking about getting a sunroof placed in the xA or xB and he said that sunroofs were only a dealer option and it appeared as if they would stay that way because scion is strictly about keeping the cost down, and all the additions you get are what you want. A sunroof is an option that you more than likely wont see as an addition because it is a pretty big body modification that alters the structure of the car. This would be like how some people are being stuck with the automatic trans. when they want the standard. Plus a sunroof option would raise the price around $1,300 on average. As you can see this is not something that scion would want to do and this is why it will more than likely be left as a dealer option and not a factory option.

 

I'm seeing an average of 28-30mpg in my box, I'm running 16X8 wheels though, larger/heavier wheels (the EP01's I'm running are real light) will add a large load to the engine.

Her car is in need of some work (fuel filter, spark plugs and the like) so it isn't as effecient as it can be. But I can fill up for less then $20 and, at the same gas station, it'll cost her more then $30.

 

Depending on the car, most sunroof options run between $500 and $800 from the dealer. $1300 would be more then a tad overpriced, for most cars in most markets.

I wouldn't be to surprised to see the sunroof in the RS2 as you aren't getting a regular xA, you're getting the limited with certain options pre-selected.

Also, I would imagine the price will stay near the RS1 price as I've noticed some things (like the 6-disk indash changer) are not present. The 6-disk is a $400 option, over $600 if you buy it alone. So this would free up a bunch of the "package money" to be used on something else.

 

I went to my dealer today to ask about the red xA and any 05 xA's. He said the fall for the red xA but take that with a grain of salt. He also said they were gonna discontinue the xA for the 2005 year or sell 05's and discontinue after .
Somehow he seems less than trustworthy on his data.

I'd think so, since the consensus on the boards is that the cars being sold next month are going to be 2005 model year...

I wish I had the patience to wait for the limited edition xA, but I'm fine with my Polar White baby on order. I could certainly see xA RS 2.0 (or whatever it'll be called) debuting in the fall, but somehow I don't think we'll know for sure until July at the earliest.
