Default CarPuter Help Please

I am in Dallas, TX and was wondering if anyone close could help me install a carputer... I pretty much know everything I think i want/need for it, but have never done an install.. I have built many custom pcs, but no carputers . Was hoping to find someone to help me out. Or if there are any DIY guides out there a link would be appreciated. I just don't want to mess anything up. Thanks in advance.

www.mp3car.com

This site is devoted to carputers and should have an answer to every question you could ask about them.

Ya I look there and directron and logicsupply all the time.. I think I pretty much have all the specs I want for the computer. I need someone to help me install it all really... Was hoping to find someone in TX near Dallas... Or if someone could tell me how to put the lcd and what wires to run and everything, I am just not real familiar with audio installs.

well, just keep searching on that site. It will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know. I have never built a computer before or even installed windows before. But after lots of reading on that site, i built my own car pc, installed all the software, programmed bios, did all sorts of stuff.

Trust me, that site is loaded with info.

What did you do for the LCD and did you mount another HU anywhere elsE? I was thinking like below the AC I may be able to put one there or like in the glove box. I'm not sure how I am going to get the LCD to mount there after I remove the stock HU...

Not sure why you would want the screen in the GB but who knows. I think its best in the dash since youll be using it alot.
