Open ROAD COURSE Racing/Drift: 4-14-06 @ NPR
No Problem Raceway is having another open grip lapping and/or drift practice session on the 1/2 mile peanut portion of the road course on Friday, April 14th (Good Friday) from 8 am to 5 pm.
Driver fee = $50 for unlimited lapping
Spectator = $10
5 lap only sessions will be available for $10
Drivers must preregister by phone. Call 225-247-RACE (7223) to register. Spots are limited, so call now to reserve your spot.
Gates will open at 8:00 am, drivers meeting at 8:30, road course at 9:00. Everything will be over by 4:30 pm, but everyone is welcome to stay for the track's regular Friday night trophy drag.
This is NOT a competition, but a practice session for beginner to novice drivers. Drift and Grip instructors will be present. Grip racers are sent out three cars at a time in 5 second intervals with 5 laps per session. Try to catch the car in front of you and don't get caught by the car behind you! The "chase" is extremely fun and can not be experienced with any other kind of racing... drag, or autox. Drifters are sent out in 10 second intervals and are kept spaced apart. Drivers may switch between grip and drift throughout the day.
There will be no concessions during the day, so bring a sack lunch.
