anyone know where i can get a TC grille without the scion logo????

i thought of just buying a bottom grille and try to carve into the shape of the top one
im trying to get a little creative with my TC

any suggestions?

 

You won't find one with the stock honeycomb look. You'd have to get aftermarket. Grillecraft makes some nice ones. I think the guys at namotorsports.net have some decent prices on the grilles. Not cheap though.

 

If you want to spend hundreds of dollars, you could pick up a grill from a release series 1.0 tC. It has the honeycomb pattern without the logo.

 

Ya, but it's still not the same as the stock grille that he's trying to match. The RS ones are pretty hot, but you could spend $500+ easily trying to get them... if you can at all.

Why don't you guys like the Scion logo on the grill? I think it makes it not so plain and looks good.

errrr... ive suddenly liked the rs1 grill less... I dont think I like that diamond shape. I'm glad I have my custom mesh :D

 

my uncle's a welder and he had some mesh (looked just like the rs1 grill but it wasn't black) in his truck so asked if he could get more of that stuff. now i guess hes gonna try to fab one for me. im planning on powdercoating it or anodizing it black. =D

 

you should do that then mass produce and sell it. then send me one for free.

I just bought a diamond shaped flat mesh thing. I'm planning to try to make it look like the RS1.0 anyone has tips on shaping the mesh to be rounded?

My flat mesh is made from really thick steel, so it's already hard to even cut it.

BTW Blanc0, How did you get or made that upper grille?? I heard some people took the lower grille and fit it on the upper one.

 

nice!!! I might want to do that... I'll probably buy my friend's stock grille. and sell that mesh LOL. One reason I want this is because it looks stockish. That way i dont get hassle by the really **** cops.
