Default [Please Help] Problem with Megan Catback Exhaust

I have installed megan catback on my tc yesterday and after the installation, it was making some rattle(it sounded like midpipe hitting my car). The exhaust is far too right and my rear bumper melted a little. I have no idea how to solve this problem because i do not know anything about the car. Professonal mechanic installed the part and he said the fitment is the problem. Please help me.

hey scion06_tc

the melting part is the minor. It's really small.

The only problem is the rattle coming from the midpipe i

think. It's annoying! But sound wise it's really good.

All my friends were amazed, and told me that megan sounds

way better than their exhaust.

Ok, I have had mine for a while now and have ironed out all the bugs. First, did you remove the crossbrace that runs underneath the mid-pipe? That has to go, no way around it. Also, the mid-pipe will vibrate a bit against the heatshield where the mid-pipe curves around to meet the rear pipe. You can fix this by slightly hammering in the heatshield. There is plenty of room. This should get you going. If your worried about the bumper, try the fix with the clamp that lowers the muffler. It can be found here:.

all i did was get longer rubber hangars, and grabed some thin black nylon rope and pulled it to the left and tied it. you cant even see the rope. but no melting. there is however some exhaust stain (brown) that i have to use paint cleaner wax to get off every one in a while. i have mine with the megan header and s-pipe. there is some raspyness but it went away some after about 200 miles. i used a sparkplug anti fouler on my s-pipe and it fixed my cel for about 2k now. im getting another megan resonator for $50 from megan and that should fix the rest of the raspyness
