Default K & N air filter?

Do you all think the K & N air filters are worth the money? I'm considering getting one and wanted some opinions. Thanks!

i have the injen CAI and just recently dropped the $65 to get the K&N because i was in a hurry to change the filter and didnt want to have to order an injen. it feels the same as it did with the injen, and i dont have to buy another one for another million miles haha. worth the price? IMO K&N makes the best filters on the market, and Injen makes the best intakes. so i dont think there is any real power loss even though the injen pipes and filters were R&Ded to work together. So i mean, the price difference is about $20 between injen and K&N. I wouldnt stay away from K&N for the price, because in this world, more expensive usually means better.

You might actually want to consider going for a full intake kit if you're looking at getting a K&N filter. The filter alone will more than likely make the car feel slower, even though its high-end hp might have been bumped up a little. You'll suffer some low-end loss. There are a couple tests that people have done with comparing intakes to one another. I remember one in particular where the K&N filter on its own was pretty disappointing. Search for intake comparisons on the site and you'll pull it up. That's just my 2 cents worth.
