Default Another happy Perilli Pzero owner

Hey group!
I just had my Pzero's put on this morning and wanted to give some feedback on them.
So far, they are a great tire. Today's weather here in Ohio has been rainy in the am sunny most of the day and a monsoon on the way home this evening. The Perilli's have been rock solid with only about 50 miles or so on them.
I went with a plus zero upgrade, which is 225/45/17 and i love the improved handleing and cornering. The extra width is nice too and with it being about an extra .5 inch taller it fills some of the fender gap left by the Potenza's.......not a lot but it is noticeable.
I admit, i did push it a little bit in the rain today in corners where i KNEW i would loose traction when the poteza's were on it and i was impressed. If their this good now i can't wait to see how great they are when they break in. The one thing i have noticed is my Tc doesn't seem to be as peppy when stepping on the throttle. I'm assuming this is either because of the tire being a tad bit heavier, slightly taller or just because they are new. I've got the recommended tire pressure up but i may have to play around with that aspect and see if there is any difference.
The tire has the same speed rating and weight index of the RE92's and on the hiway IMO the ride is about the same.....maybe a tad bit smoother. But when you throw the Tc into a corner at speed you will KNOW this isn't your old potenza tire.
I guess time will tell as they break in but from all the reviews and tire tests i've been able to read this is a smokin tire considering it's classified as an Ultra Performance all season tire. I highly recommend this tire to any one considering installing new kicks on their ride.
btw! I forgot to mention earlier that my Tc is bone stock. IMO this should be the very first upgrade if your considering ANY suspension mod. It will ony enhance other upgrades and make you smile even wider every time you hit the twisty stuff.
I've got a nice road trip planned for tomorrow and i will update this with more results later this weekend.
Peace!

i had p-zero when i first got my car, they were good but they are very soft and didnt give much grip. I could chirp out in third gear with those tires. i recently purchased some bfgoodrich tdw and must say that they are a better tire for the money. Dont get me wrong p-zeros are great tires but to pricey for what you get.

yeh mine came with pzero nero m+s too..everythings good except i would like more traction..i sometimes lose a little grip from a stop on a rainy day, and thats without getting on the pedal that hard. and when flooring from a stop, i chirp way too much now..its been 10500 miles now and there are still about 35% tread left on them but i think i might upgrade soon

you RS series guys are complaining about the P-zero nero's. You haven't experienced a bad tire until you've ridden with the potenza's. Everytime it rains I dread driving. Thank god I'm getting rid of them next week.

Well, I knew when i started this thread there would be diverse reactions and opinions.
I've had a chance to put a couple hundred miles on these kicks this weekend I LOVE EM'.
I've had permagrin all weekend long. these tires STICK better than the Potenzas......period. I'm sure there is a better tire out there, but come on, an all season with this kind of wet and dry traction????? Not in this price point.
I'm not trying to start a " this tire is better than that tire" thread. I started this thread because when i searched SL for the Pzero Nero i only found a couple topics and not really much information. I researched the CRAP out of this tire and based on what i read this is the tire for ME.
Sorry for the tagent there.....didn't mean to rant! On with the follow up.

We've had dry weather here in Ohio all weekend and I've really put these Pzero's to the test. To be fair i've taken them through all the situations with the previous Potenza and i honestly feel like i'm driving a different car. I can easily double my cornering speed in most situations over the bridgestones and so far only once have i felt the Perilli was pushed too far. The sluggish acceleration i meantioned earlier doesn't seem to be as bad so it's my guess with a couple hundred more miles and it should feel the same.
On the interstate i don't really notice much difference as far as noise. The ride quaility is a bit smoother but real close to what stock feels like. Braking feels more solid when getting on the brakes hard.....for various reason. LOL
I guess i should also mention that i bought these tires from my local Discount Tire. I also want to mention that they gave me decent trade-in allowance for my stockers too. Hell they only had 6K miles on em. So if any of you out there still have low mileage on the RE92's you might want to keep the trade in option in mind.
So there it is, I don't know what else to say except i'm really happy with this tire and at this point i guess only time will tell how i feel with 10-20K miles on them.

I know there are a lot of different options out there and everyone has there own preference and opinions........that's why i love this board.
I'm just sharing information so when the next guy/gal looking to upgrade tires has something informative to base their decision on. I'd be happy to answer any questions if you have any. Just send me a PM.

later

ive had these pzero for over a year now and the chirp in second and third gear does get old. also i hate the fact the from a stand still to a slight hard pull during acceleration in a semi wet roadway the easliy break traction 7 out 10 times. but overall the good tires..these definitely run laps around the stock tires. im going for either nittos, bf, or an all season low profile that just came out in a month or two.
