Hello,

I recently bought I used Scion xA and I am very happy with the car. The previous owner installed some extras, which I am trying to identify at the moment. I am a total layman when it comes to car tuning, so I need your help.

There is a component directly in front of the radiator (red, cylindrical) which was connected to a switch in the front console. The cables are loose now, but when I connect them to the battery, the component makes a noise as if an electric motor is running with a rattling noise.

Can anybody tell what this could be?
