I have been doing some research on both of these on this site and others and I haven't seen any exact info on them. I did a search and saw that the injen ranked best, but the K&N wasn't on the test. I have my xB on order and it will be here in June and I want to get the intake before. I have seen a few things on each but want to get some opinions and facts about them. From what I can tell they are pretty equal and it is just preference. Just let me know what is better.

I have the Injen, great performance. It took me awhile to decide, buy I'm have with the Injen. I got it form robear. It's cost $153 shipped to RI. Great people and excellent customer service

considering both will give you the same horsepower, you'd be better off getting the one that meets the following criteria:
1) is cheapest
2) is easiest to install
3) looks the best in your engine bay
4) (depending on location) is CARB approved
That is a good rule of thumb when searching for intakes....

That is what i was thinking. They seem pretty similar so I guess I will just get the one I like. I see from searching that both are fairly easy to install, both are about $150 to $175, the K&N has four colors and I don't need CARB in Iowa. I will just go with the K&N one, I like the looks and I have always had them with other cars. Thanks.

they are both great products, the K&N is not as loud as the injen, The injen makes the stocks engine with no mods sound healthy, but if you are going with headers and exhaust, becareful you might find the injen is liitle loud in that application. Bill

Thanks for the info Bill. I am getting the TRD exhaust on it from the factory and will had a header next summer. Looks like a nother reason to go with the K&N.
