my tech teacher tought me a term its calld KISS... wich stands for Keep it SImple Stoopid haha anyways im not calling ANYONE stoopid its jus a term n a joke.. Try and start off with the first pipe, connect it to your manifold. hook up the MAF and the vac lines, Then use tube number two n try to squeeze it in there... keep it simple take out the battery if you need space, take off the fender or the head light to have space to manuver it around with your hands in there. =) hope that works bro good luck
Here you can see a pic of one installed courtesy of ptuning.com

I could be mistaken, but it appears you may have been sent the wrong lower tube. In the picture it looks like the lower tube has an immediate "90" that turns back toward the front of the vehicle. Once past the battery it has a second "90" toward the drivers side. Beyond that I am not sure what happens. But I would think that there would be a third and final "90" turning the tube downward toward the ground.
Have you sent your pictures to the shop you bought the intake from, or Fujita themselves? It really does appear that you were given the wrong lower section.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat hey that is the installed pic on my 06 xa courtasy of ptuning. Cant say enough about that shop, and i am so glad i am local. I the install goes much better if you have the car off the ground, and second installed as one piece. I tried to get it in as two pieces as the directions say, but fujita says its a little backwards as far as the directions when i comes to the seconday pipe to fit.
Ok i installed the cold air intake vehicle specific to the xb, and it does fit the xa. As far as i know from what fujita told me i am the first to do so. It does fit. In my case we did not use the battery rubber stoper (shock absorber rubber piece), and intalled it as one piece. If you have to remove the battery it would help, and it does help if you have the car off the ground. Give ptuning a call if you need more info, i am sure they can help. Rest assured it does fit, and i am completly happy with the product, and performace.
