I have Hotchkis springs, and never got an alignment. 7,000 miles so far, and no uneven wear on my tires..

^^ Ditto on that. They won't wear out too fast, but I'd recommend it as soon as you CAN afford it.

I waited about 10,000 miles without getting an alignment (on purpose b/c i was getting new tires on anyways) and my OEM tires were SHOT. After I saw them I was seriously hoping that I didn't blow one out for the next couple days before my alignment.

So ya... you'll need it. But it doesn't have to be immediately.

alright, here is my opinion on this...depending on your drop you might need an alignment..if your car is dropped and you dont have the camber correction kit installed, all that the alignment shop gonna do for you is try to correct your toe, they will not do anything bout camber or caster..as you cant do much without the camber correction kit.

Toe is what wear tires out...

Yes you need an alignment no question. But what I do personally is wait about 2 weeks for the spring to settle a little bit. But I wouldn't go any longer than that. Think about it like this $70 alignment or $350 - $450 for new tires AND a $70 alignment. I put a link to the alignment instructions on out site below. They're free and I would take them to whom ever is going to do the alignment.
