I'm digging these Old Skool style rims on the Echo
http://tamg.sudjam.com/accessories/img_echo/p_ECH_SS_Alloy.jpg
I would have to run on 195/65/14 ofcourse but it should be a bit softer. More stable on the roads of the slightly wider tire?

Mighty small diameter with this size! If you're going Old Skool, why not go to a 70 or even 75 series tire, say 185/75R14?

35mm will fit no problem but wont look as nice as a numerically lower offset. Good luck! If you're buying from tirerack, they give you the hubrings.

Wont look as nice? Meaning the wheels wont be as slanted like : // D \\? If so, that's fine with me. Wheel locks should still be the same too M12x1.5. :?

no, what he meant was that the wheels will sit in the fender well more with your offset as oppose to 15mm offset. you might want to try the brock wheels on this site, they look about the same and come in the offset you need. http://www.tunershop.com/shop/shop.html

btw steve is a really cool guy and can hook you up with wheels from germany in three days to your door. real awesome guy.

Thanks for the clarification. I dont want the wheel sticking out. I actually like the stock look or at least closer to stock . I corner like I was on a road course. The fastest way to cross a shoquain(?) is a straight line. I've seen GOlfs with Brocks with really low offsets that ended up with chipped/warped wheels. Spacers is out of the question too. I will also ride stock height

I'm getting the same brand of tires as similar to Minsk99. White letters sadly is not available on the 195/60/15 BFG Traction T/A H. He was able to get 205/60/15 on the 15x8, but I have 15x7. I may have to get some paint :D .

Cost is also the concern with the Brocks (digging them Lips!). So tempting though.

nice choice on Borbets,.. im more of a Type A fan, but more power to ya. I was originally gonna go with the borbet type a's but instead went with my brocks because i found them for cheaper.. One day im gonna buy a set just for the hell of it.

Stock wheel offset.

18mm offset.

I wanted the A's as well. Steve never called me back or responded to my emails so I shopped elsewhere. :( No reason a better offset would warp your wheels. 205 would fit fine on a 7" wheel. I have a 225 on my 15x8.

Just ordered the Borbet Type E (economy  ) 15x7 +35offset. I'm sticking with the stock tires right now. I have about 10K on it left. Ordered them from TireRack. There's an installer in my area that are BMW/MB specialist. They are also a tirerack dropoff site. Going to a German installer for German rims on a Japanese car  :D . Hopefully it will be up by weeks end.

To late he already ordered them. Small and not wide is a negative ghost rider. Small and wide the way he should have went with a way lower offset.

I actually cancelled. My installer works M-F 10-6. Only possible time for me to get them installed is if I take a personal day off (or a cough cough, "sick" day)  So I have to time it properly. True, wheels makes the car, and I need to get it right.
