Steering Wheel controls and new HU

Will my existing steering wheel controls work with a new head unit? It there a feature I need to specifically buy?

no. not very easily. just buy a h/u with a remote and attach it to the wheel

pioneer makes compatible remotes and steering wheel controls that either mount direclty to the center steering wheel or strap on to the outer wheel see crutchfield.com

Steering Wheel controls and new HU

Crutchfield also sells steering wheel interfaces for specific aftermarket HU's. Unfortunatly they don't have one yet for the new JVC HU's which i just bought.
