You should get one of those PCBs that gradually give the cathodes power. This will make the lights look like real coils starting up to toast some bread...

 

What lights are you running under the hood? It looks sweet. I'm getting my neons for underneath installed today, can't wait.

How much did that set you back and what did you use?

 

i used red ccfl from www.svc.com and colored them with orange sharpie. for the lights under hood and on bumper i reinforced them with some clear silicone adhesive for them to stick to the frame in the heat and also helps keep water from shorting out the inverter. with this setup and those steps it only cost me $55.00 for 7 dual cathode lights = 14 lights and 7 inverters. i have 4 under hood and 2 in front bumper (middle section) and 2 on each rear side window.
