Kevin mgithens 06-07-2004, 09:17 PM Anybody know how much it'll cost to replace one of them 17' wheels. $80, $100? wheel ?? or tire?? wheel will probably run about $150 each... tires run from about $75 to over $200 depending on which brand / model.... djimpak 06-07-2004, 09:26 PM i doubt it would be $150 each, probably more... the RSX's 16" rim are like $300+ each. CervezA 06-08-2004, 12:23 AM i doubt it would be $150 each, probably more... the RSX's 16" rim are like $300+ each. Acura > Scion Of course an acura wheel will cost more than a Scion/Toyota, just as a Lexus wheel will cost more to replace than a Scion wheel. BlueBox 06-08-2004, 12:28 AM why in the world will the 17" have to be replaced? unless u're buying a new set of wheels? u planning on hitting curbs often? just wondering... and to answer ur question... the Dealer will charge and arm and a leg for one. If you ever do need another rim... just save up ur money and get a whole new set...mind as well. I would opt to go bigger ... maybe 18 or even 19s. TheBigGuyRy 06-08-2004, 04:41 AM Acura > Scion Of course an acura wheel will cost more than a Scion/Toyota, just as a Lexus wheel will cost more to replace than a Scion wheel. wrong wrong wrong WRONG... do you people just write stuff on here because it sounds good in your head?? Take any nice aftermarket rim of any size... find the price for it. Then add about $150 for a factory rim of that same size. Factory is just more expensive... that's just how life is. I'd guess $300 plus for factory replacements... has NOTHING to do with acura or honda or toyota or lexus , nissan or infiniti or even fricking volvo and audi. True: a lexus rim could cost more than a scion rim. but it's doubtful. the scion rim will likely be at least as much as the acura one. Just another good reason to go aftermarket ASAP. djimpak 06-08-2004, 07:51 AM Just another good reason to go aftermarket ASAP. ditto on this. kingkang 06-08-2004, 02:15 PM I meant tire. If I get a flat tire. How much does it cost to get tires replaced? I thought a wheel and a tire were the same thing. I guess I was wrong. mgithens 06-08-2004, 02:24 PM I guess I always referred to a tire and a rim as a wheel... but then I guess we do call it a spare tire, but really it is a spare wheel...?? hehe... the tire sites are calling WHEELS a rim... hmm... you can check www.tirerack.com or my favorite is www.discounttiredirect.com but to answer your question - Discount Tire Direct has prices from $80 to $160 per tire... kingkang 06-08-2004, 02:29 PM Coo. I wasn't arguing that factory was more expensive. However, I do still believe a replacement stock wheel for an IS300 would cost a bit more than the stock wheel off a toyota corolla. |
