Default 05-RS1's NA auto tc dyno

well i dynoed my car yesterday. i was just bored and wanted to know how much power i actually have.

here's my setup:
2005 RS1 tC
Automatic
AW header
Injen CAI
DraXas S-pipe
Stock Midpipe
Greddy SP2

We did a total of 3 unofficial runs, 2 official. here are the dyno graphs. the first is UNCORRECTED and the second is CORRECTED.

sorry about the small pics..i usually use tinypic.com to host my images but i dont think they are up and running anymore. if anybody can resize for me that'd be appreciated. but i got about 140.9whp and 135.8 lb-ft tq. of the two runs, both were consistent with only .3 difference in whp and .5 difference in tq so it was a very accurate two runs. im ok with the numbers. i thought tq was a little low since the tc usually has more tq then hp but oh well. i've read that stock auto's dyno around 123whp-130whp so im happy with the gains i may have had with the mods i put on.

the loss in torque is probably due to the header. the 4-1 design is more for upper rpm horsepower gain. a 4-2-1 design like that of the MMW header should give you a little bit more low end torque if you ever feel ambitious enough to go swap your header.
Still, i would be very happy with that. An auto putting down 140 whp with bolt-ons (without a complete exhaust i might add) is awesome.

^^thanks. and about the header, i thought it would tack on both hp and tq. i didnt think it would really cause much of loss at neither the low end nor high. but still happy with the numbers

Dynojets aren't very accurate when reporting torque numbers because they are not load bearing. Put that on a Mustang dyno and it would be different. Good numbers though!

lol yeh we do but i havent done much since we last raced..just s-pipe and sp2 which i dont think would make that much of a difference..i need new tires too...i was under the impression u were rollin on the stock potenza's at the time but that sure as hell wasnt the case lol. plus u still got those pulleys over me that help u go through the gears faster.

and as for u pete, i wouldnt want u to blow ur motor over a race with two NA auto tc's

thanks for the comments everybody!

almost the exact same set up i will have in about a month...
MMW header/S-pipe + Injen CAI
Was expecting a little more power, but still damn better than what we've got stock.

I would be happy with those figures... You're likely to have a high 15's car with that...

I think the most decked-out N/A auto RSX, with way more mods, runs like 15.7... you're on the order of that.

^15.5 to be exact with I/RH/E/Hondata reflash. Skunk2 is releasing cams for the base rsx's sometime next week.

but then again, my bro never ran the 1/4mi when he was N/A.
