who has the ZPi exhaust?
ill be getting the full exhaust system from them soon, if they ever ship it.. but i was wondering if anyone here had it w/o headers? i keep hearing its very loud and a bit raspy. someone please throw in theiir 2 cents
its loud and its raspy...with a header its louder and "raspier"
the reason for this is:
1) eliminates the cat
2) eliminates the resonator
resonator: keeps sound down a little, gets rid of vibrations(Rasp)
cat: catalytic converter...muffles alot of sound
so you dont have these two..you dont have anything to stop the sound
and for the price: 500 bux its kinda expensive seeing as how its a muffler/tip/piping

my friend has the zpi exhaust + spipe with dc header and injen cia and it sounds like ___ in a box the rasp is rediculous, he cant take it anymore and hes gettin the megan exhaust with silencer, im not knocking zpi in anyway b/c the power deff increased and was niticable but its a 4 cyl and u cant expect a great sound
yeah ill be staying with the stock header, ill probably go boost after this but i dunno if i wanna spend so much money=/
tikbhoy did you run the stock headers? if you did was there much, if any rasp with that set up? i spoke to a girl i met on here and she said hers sounded kinda raspy, and loud too. i dont mind the loudness i just dont wanna have the ricer rasp

its only a lil raspy when cold but when its warm'd up , its all gone. ive had magnaflow before on my other cars and i expected it to have a deep sound.
before you start buying resonators/glass packs, listen to it first then go from there.
if you are buying the ZPi , i highly suggest picking it up from them because shipping is a bizwaxk
