Just got my 1st box, SR 3.0
I found nothing in the owners manual and maintinece sched. about changing a timing belt at 60K, or 75, or 100k or more for that matter. Does anyone know about that?

2nd question, I have always done an oil change after the "breakin period" of 1000 to 1500 miles on a new car, Scion says 5K what are some opinions on that or did I miss something in the manual?

As far as the oil changes, waited till 5 on my first one, waiting till 5 on this one. No problem there.

 

too used to 3k changes to wait till 5k and i am going to switch over to synth. 5k is just to fishy for me. that reminds me...I NEED AN OIL CHANGE!

 

I am changing my oil in the xB at every 5,000, all of my other asian cars i did it every 10,000 and never had a problem. This is my first new car so i am taking extra care so i can have it for more than 300,000 miles.
