Does anyone know how to remove the gaudy air bag warning stickers from the visors of my new Scion tC? I know Toyota is required by law to put them there. I know that they can't tell me how to remove them. But the same "Chat Lady" told me it was legally within my discretion whether or not to keep them there. (Thank you, Big Brother.) Of course, she couldn't tell me how to not keep them there.

The salesman at McGeorge Toyota told me "they just peel off"! Of course, they don't.

Soak them in vinegar? Put a special curse on them? Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Travis

I know that they're not the same ones as the xB/xA, but if they have a texture to them I wouldn't suggest it. I removed one of mine once and the outline of the sticker remained. It looked even worse. So I then replaced it with a used one.

But if you really want to....use Goof-off.

There are some sticker overlays that go over them...search the forums.

Hey Thanks, Andrew!

I got gray stickers for my Scion and black for my wife's Matrix.

I love your two-tone job! And how did you black out the grill? Spray paint the logo medallion? Remove it? I'd like to clear mine as well.

Many thanks again.

Travis

My stickers are a very smooth, untextured rubbery stuff. I thought immediately of Goof Off (figured WD-40 might work, but might not evaporate so cleanly). Decided not to chance it and went with the stickers from randode.com
