I was just curious what accessories people are leaning towards?

I was thinking about getting the exhaust and cold air intake, however, I may wait until other 3rd parties start jumping into the Scion fray.

I think (if I do get one) will just get a bare bones Scion. I may possibly spring for the oil cap and the battery tie down since that would be only $100 or less for both. Depending on how cool they look.

I have no need for the 6CD player...it's cool, but I can just switch discs. The sub would be nice, but I've heard mixed opinions on this. could proably upgrade all speakers if I really wanted.

The only other thing is either the 18" or 19" wheels....I guess it depends how they look and the cost...I heard they were pretty pricey and the 19" rubbed a little bit on extreme turns (so they say)

So, it looks like nothing for me, which is good.....need to save some cash.

The wheels will cost you about $1700 for the 18s youd be better off waiting and finding some on the internet or in a car mag you like. When i went in to order my XB i wanted all the options but i realized it would be cheaper to put on whatever i wanted later on. I am getting fog lights, spoiler, and the sunroof.

My tC will be arriving bone stock. Silver and a Stick shift, nothing else.

I will consider other options later. But I will have to see them or drive a tC with them first. The Supercharger should give a nice boost of power to the tC. I also would consider an exust to give the engine a better sound. The stock rims are nice, I would have to see some really nice 18s for me to want to replace them. I would consider the tC door and trunk opening protectors. Any stereo upgrade I will go after market for. I may have to get the face mask to prevent rock chips on long trips. Only time will tell what options I will get.

Stock..

Security and option to be installed aftermarket... $499 for security ???
I can get security W wireless pageing , engine start and keyless for $200...

I may trade my car in for a set of wheel locks (I would be making out if you saw the trade-in)

From the dealership, I'm planning on the exhaust. Then i'll probably ride out to the closest Circuit City or Best Buy and invest in a nice subwoofer.

Assuming this is the car I get... I will likely go with the S/C for warranty purposes and maybe pay the premium for the wheels (depends on how disgusting the price is). We have some great shops that do custom exhausts at a reasonable price here in Atlanta and I do my own stereo work rather than letting the hacks mess something up. No idea what I will do beyond that performance wise. Will probably wait and let some people trial and error headers, induction, etc. I will probably get a custom shop here to redo the seats in leather as well.

from the dealer, stock and maybe the front strut bar. but then by the time i get my tC(late november) there should be aftermarket stuff for much less.

I'm going with the lip spoiler, Borla exhaust, strut bar, AEM Intake, trd quickshifter security, and if I'm lucky.. side airbags.

I figure- what the hell, I dropped a 26K Solara deal for the car. With all these options it comes to about 21K out the door... I'll throw in the supercharger in Nov and still be under 25K!

No need for rims...

Same HP in a lighter and more nimble car with more std features.. I'm looking forward to it!

I'm getting (on my BCP 5-speed) the 6-disc changer, floor mats, lighting kit (under dash and cupholders), B-pillar appliques, and speed star mesh shift knob.

I wish it would hurry up and get here! :D

I went spoilerless but thinking about getting one later... I just couldn't decide. I'll take any opinions on this, especially ideas about what kind of aftermarket ones would be nice.

If you're getting the lighting kit, you might want to check out the Auto-dimming Mirror. It has colored "ambient lighting" built into its map lights.

Yeah, thanks. I was thinking about the auto-dimming mirror but I just thought that 310 bucks wasn't quite worth it. Maybe later on I might add it.

many plans for this car. first things would be tint, alarm with remote start, and HID conversion kit. later on, a nice suspension setup starting with a strut bar, and larger diameter sway bars. coilover suspension will be added after a year or something. looking at the pix of the stock wheels, im already looking for aftermarket wheels and tires. interior??? ummm... ill keep it stock for little while. as for performance... i really hope TRD goes a turbo route with the tc, that would be good investment opportunity

nobody mentioned anything about the TRD springs?? seems like it's a good drop without needing to adujst the camber. hopefully, if the strut/shocks wear out within the warranty, toyota will replace them

I bought a bone stock 5-speed silver streak mica, and will be adding exhaust, intake, sway bar, mud guard set & shift light. The following items when they become available: TRD lowering springs, TRD short shifter, TRD performance clutch and eventually TRD supercharger.

How much is the shift light and were does it go?

I'd say if getting ANYTHING from the dealer, get stuff that you can't put on by yourself... that is i think any of the engine dress up items, shift knobs, pedals, etc is a waste since you can get them cheaper and just stick them on yourself...

i'm planning on getting the ground effects (i actually think the car looks great on its own, but the kit adds a bit of aggressiveness... since it's going to be expensive outside of dealer anyway, i'd rather just roll that into payments and i don't want anything too crazy anyhow), the TRD exhaust (if it sounds nice), 18" wheels (again, same reason as the ground effects), TRD springs (definitely), Scion Security (maybe), and the subwoofer (maybe... if it sounds nice).

Yeah, thanks. I was thinking about the auto-dimming mirror but I just thought that 310 bucks wasn't quite worth it. Maybe later on I might add it.

if anyone is planning on getting tints, the auto dimming mirror will be a waste of money... i had it on my IS300 with tints (20s) and you just don't need it anymore...

save money and just get one of those awesome Broadway mirrors... adjusts contrast so well... it even makes it easier to see through tints as dark as i had versus a regular mirror.

Heh. None of those are TRD (although I'd like to get all of them except for the shift knob.)

How easy/hard are the door sills to install? I think they would make a nice enhancement....whenever I do get my tC....hopefully this week....hopefully.

Apparently you just remove the stock plastic sills and replace them. I would guess they're probably attached with spring clips. Should be really easy.

Ok thanks...I was assuming screws or something....

Also, is the 6-disc changer REALLY worth it? I think I'm going to pass. I will probably use MP3's anyways, so do I really need 6 discs full of them....nope. ok, nevermind....haha

I think I will get my tC today or tomorrow. A different dealership got one in and they called me...woohoo.

I also have an iPod and I'm wondering: with the stock system, am I ____ outa luck? Should/Can I get the car without a radio and just install an alpine headunit in its place?

Yeah, I'm thinking the 6-disk is pretty useless too. You can fit more then 6 CDs on one mp3 CD. Except it does change colors... Hey does anyone know if the CD player can play CD-RWs? It should be able to play CD-Rs, but what about the RWs?
