Want to change an 04' RS1 4Speed, to 5Speed (Auto, to Stick)
It would cost a buttload of money. First, you'd probably have to locate a wrecked xB or xA and take the unit along with the pedal assembly. I don't know if you'd need a new ECU or not.
Regardless, it'd be a big undertaking.

An auto to manual swap in pretty much any car runs anywhere from $1000 to $1500 if you do it yourself. I think the drive axles are different in the two so you would need those, the tranny, flywheel, clutch, probably the ECU, pedals and cables. You would have to find a totaled xB and get most of the parts there because if you try to come to the dealer you're toast.
Well, it would be better to sell yours and buy a five-speed. The 5 speed has about 8HP to the wheels, than the auto. the tourque converter kills the HP on the auto. The 5-speed is also about 1 sec faster in the quarter mile.
good luck
good luck
HotBox05 is right - I wanted a 5-speed XB RS1 without a bunch of crazy extras, for a reasonable price. And after 6 months of searching I finally found the one posted in my profile for only $12,500 with 28,300 miles. Come take a look at my profile and rate my boxes.
