Fluid changes needed for 100+ miles
I looked through the "Scheduled Maintenance Guide" and found it somewhat confusing for fluid changes >100K miles.
For example, between 90K and 108K, the front diff oil and the tranny fluid (does a manual tranny even have a separate tranny fluid?). BUT, footnote 2 says "perform these services only if you drive permanently under the conditions indicated", which I assume are dusty, dirty, etc....
well, what about normal everyday driving? What's the interverl(s) to be?
I've done fluid on a FWD AUTO complete fluid - the diff fluid has it's own reservoir (usually a pain in the ___ for fill), then you have a much large volume for the tranny, which includes to torque coinverter etc.
Can somenoe hlep me make sense of what I should be changing when, at what intervals higher mileage xB's. I do have part of the usually they just have the amount fluids, not change interval.
BTW, mine is a stick, not an auto., 2008.
thanks,
m
